National Resource Center On LGBTQIA+ Aging
The National Resource Center on LGBTQIA+ Aging, a program of SAGE, is the country’s first and only technical assistance resource center focused on improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender older adults, families and caregivers. Established in 2010 through a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the National Resource Center on LGBTQIA+ Aging provides training, technical assistance and educational resources to aging providers, LGBTQIA+ organizations and LGBTQIA+ older adults.
The goal of the National Resource Center on LGBTQIA+ Aging is to provide ongoing and sustainable resource development, technical assistance, education, and training that supports the Aging and Disability Networks in providing culturally competent services to LGBTQIA+ older adults and their caregivers.
